I would suggest(with working internet connection):

Go to Applications&gt;Ubuntu Software Centre

Install &#039;Advanced Desktop Effects Settings&#039; &amp; &#039;NVidia binary X.Org driver (&#039;version 185&#039; driver)&#039;

Restart.

Go to System&gt;Preferences&gt;Appearance
On the Visual Effects tab, select &#039;Normal&#039; or &#039;Extra&#039;

That&#039;s it.</description>

Then I tried to open a .docx file using file type as .docx but OO told me that &quot;Read Error Data could not be read from the file&quot;.
